well done and Thank you for writing something so positive on here!
Ive now received my completion certificate and am dying to apply for a card (not to abuse but to have for emergencies really) however Im still quite worried that "COMPUTER SAYS NO"!!. even though my credit files are showing 949 and 545. Im still a little scared of applying!.

For last three years i have had a pre paid mastercard ... Load it every month so i have kept a 500 balance on it. Costs me £4.95 a month but improves my credit ratibg.

Last month all our defaults and records were cleared ... I have since applied for a Barclaycard Freedom credit card and been accepted ...£3500 credit limit.
I do not i pntend to use it apart from my diesel each month, which i will pay off on pay day .... So this does show it is worth trying, but don't try too many as it will impact your credit rating as it will look like you are credit hungry.
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !

It is really nice to see all of these positive posts at the moment about successful completions and life afterwards - especially from those forum posters who we have lived the IVA experience through. Best of luck to you nutkins for a debt-free future.

I agree Melanie for so long the forum has been bogged down with PPI issues and rightly so for so many but it's uplifting to read about success stories too. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
