Moneypenny - if I were you I would call your IP to find out if they have received the letter, I had the same problem as you in regards to recorded delivery - Royal Mail do not update recorded delivery track and trace, they only update Special Delivery (this is what I was told by post office counter's staff). In my case i had sent a letter to my bank but as I had not had an acknowledgement from them as i had asked i then had to send a copy of the same letter previously sent by special delivery. Your IP most probably has received your letter, give them a quick call. [:I]

I've always been able to track and trace recorded delivery with no problem.

iv'e tryed phoning my IP, but keep getting an answer machine so have left a quick message for them to phone me, im also writng an email to them, i'm a bit miffed that they havn't phoned me, anyway i hope they call me in the morning.

hubbys car brakes failed on mon, the bill is £282.05, they were so bad he needed 4 new discs plus brake pads, to think that xmas was allready hopeless, now its non exsitant, so depressed at the moment. Dont know where to turn.

I know i'm probably feeling sorry for myself, what with all the bad stuff in the world, but its my kid's i feel for not myself, and our family don't give to oneanother, so life's a B..ch at the moment, and can't wait till the new yr is in, feeling hope on the horizon, and looking forward to next xmas, as i have plans for saving stamps for food and £5 a month to save for pressies.

Just wish i had expert advice in the first place instead of jumping straight in.

Anyone out there thinking of going the IVA route please please get as much advice as possible, and never agree anything unless you can truly live on what they expect you to.

Moneypenny, I am so sad that you are going through such a bad time, especially at this time of year.

I hope you get a reply to your email.

I also hope that you can get somethng sorted out - an IVA should not be a punishment and you should be able to live, not just exist.

It's very strange that you are just getting an answerphone message at your IP firm. Are they are large company?

i realy don't know, as we were passed on to this company. I have asked them to ring me before 10.30am and after 4pm, if they dont ring me by 4.30 then i will ring them. I do feel they have the resposibilty to ring me, after iv'e sewnt them so much information. I have to help my mum today so will be out for a few hours, although they have my mobile. anyway i'll check back this evening, with hopefully some fairly good news.

I don't know too much about that firm, so I can only suggest an e-mail directly to the IP acting might be a sensible way forward. Put a delivery and a read receipt on it so you can be sure he/she has received it.

Hi moneypenny, I can only imagine how frustrating it is for you. I do hope this is sorted for you and you have contact at least very soon. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I hope it's sorted soon as well. Not a good service you are getting and I would certainly think about making a complaint about it.

I'm sorry you're having a bad time just before Christmas Moneypenny. Like Jan I would also consider complaining about the service that you are receiving as it's definitely not good enough x

It's not a service at all. I know companies are busier than usual, but it's no excuse.
