About as anxious as you Spanna, and we've got to get through the weekend yet. At least you'll hopefully have the weekend to celebrate and relax a little. Judging by harrysmummy's thread, we are all feeling the same. Aaarrrggghhh!

Spanna feel free to come around mine and do as much cleaning as you want, I could keep you busy way past your meeting.

Seriously though it's out of your hands so do try and relax, easy for me to say I know. You'll know soon and hopefully we'll all be celebrating with you. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

The days between my announcement of the meeting and the meeting date itself was actually the longest period I had of nothing happening whilst my IVA was being set up! I ended up counting down the full days in between, thinking "X full days to go now "!!!

I won't say "Try and be positive" because I know there's nothing that will take the nerves away, but I will be looking in to see how you have gone on xx [:)]
Final payment 1st April 2016.
Completion Certificate received 19th May 2016.

Good luck! I have just appointed an IP (Melanie, who is great) to start me off in the IVA process and I am already terrified about the idea of decision time! I think I will have to find something very constructive to do during the long wait! Hope it all goes well for you :)

My husband is not coping well with the waiting. He has suffered from anxiety for the last year due to our problems, but had started to relax a bit once we started on the IVA process. Now the meeting is fast approaching, the anxiety has come back.

He told his bozss about the IVA this week when he was asking for a day off for the meeting, as he told me he has lost the plot a little and started making mistakes at work and didn't want them to think he was totally incompetent. He woke up retching due to stress this morning and has not been able to make it into work yet.

I hope we will be able to move on next week - he has carried so much of the financial burden. Not only did I not know quite how deep we were, he had always taken care of the finances so the last year or so has been a constant daily juggle of things in order to make repayments, and trtying to magic up money from somewhere.

Hopefully once you're on the road with your IVA it will take away the stress for your hubby. All the best to you both. x

I was in middle of a field fighting (reinactments) when my meeting was going on had a couple of calls (bluetooth under a helmet FTW)couple of questions it was all done.
Ive now made my final payment and except for Grant Thorntons incompetance it would be all done and dusted good luck with yours!
Time to end of IVA 0 days
Time to end of GT dealing with it...CC recieved after a battle royal !!

Hi Debt tired - please get your hubby to go to see your GP if he hasnt already, I also suufer badly with anxiety & panick attacks and in my experience once it gets hold of you its time to get some help -I deal with all the finances ect in our home and if you saw my husband you would not believe we had a creditor meeting on Monday he is so relaxed.. however I am far far from it I have been ill since after Christmas I managed to get all the paperwork ect sorted for our proposal and then once I had completed everything at our end I just had a complete melt down, I work in travel but from home so quite stressful and lonely and I have been off work now since 30th Jan and my doctor has now just extended this untill the 22nd March this is the first time I have been off in my whole working life but stress & anxiety is a very powerful thing which lots of people struggle to understand and can cause some very real physical symptoms.
I am sure everything will go well for you and you sound like you are very supportive too, send my best wishes and I hope he begins to feel better very soon :)

Thank you harrysmummy - he is already on medication (last year I took him to the doctor myself), which helps except when things are full on. I hope that once your meeting has happened that you start to feel a bit better. An employee (and close friend) of mine (when I still had a business) also suffered badly for a while, but most people did not understand as they had never encountered it themselves. Roll on Monday, eh?

Anxiety is a terrible disorder once it gets hold of you - i am a sufferer aswell and it is horrible to live with on a day to day basis without help and support, Im also bipolar and each disorder makes each disorder considerably worse at times - best advice i can offer is to get help at the earliest opportunity and take things day by day xx all the best for your husband xx and harrysmummy78 i totally understand how you feel x Good luck x
