Hi, I had a spare 1.00 coin today and bought a scratch card. I won 8.00, well actually 7.00, now pre IVA I would have not given this a second thought, but today that 8.00 meant a lot.
I went to Asda got my 8.00 from the lottery counter and bought the following:
2x washing up liquid
2x disinfectant
1x kitchen cloths
1x washing machine tablets (15 tabs)
1x bottle of wine (cheap offer 2.50)
2x bleach
I spent in total 6.70
The above is either smartprice or Asda's own brand but who cares its fit for purpose. Pre IVA I would have put the 8.00 in my purse and frittered it away without a second thought, but not anymore, now I am in the real world and actually I like it.

Well done Marsha! I must say that you're better than me - even though I'm much better with money than I used to be (for obvious reasons!) I would still have headed off to the George clothing section and bought a new top!

i agree marsha1.
since iva i seem to have become tighter than a ducks you know what.
i recently purchased 4 small pre-cut pieces of wood from b+q.
they were 73p each.
i ended up only using 3 of the pieces.
normally, i would have put the odd piece in my shed for a rainy day.
witness mr torch in his local b+q today, getting a refund on his piece of wood!.
73p back in my account, not in mr b+q's profit line.
