Well last payment made last week and Standing order cancelled.

Now just got the wait for the VAT issue to be settled and await my Completion Certificate.

Phoned up GT last week to see what the status was regarding closures of IVA and was told I'd get a call in the next week or so.

Well done - time to start celebrating.

Hope you don't have to wait long for your complation certificate but it is taking a few months at present.

Was told three weeks ago that would get my certificate through fairly quick as I had started my IVA with DebtMatters. Which meant they had already paid so much out to my creditors and that they did not have to chase them up to pay them. Which was their reason for why they quote up to 6 months for certificate being issued.

Then the VAT issue threw a spanner in the works. Just my luck :-)

Least can look forward to being able to afford to go on holiday and see some of my friends who I've not seen for 6 years.

Great news well done on completing ! Just be a bit wary until your IVA completion cert is received - until then any windfalls received or inheritance etc could still be captured by your creditors.....you will need to make sure you keep them informed of any changes in circumstances etc
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !
