DFD customer line can be a bit of a nightmare at times to get through and its very frustrating when it just cuts you off after 7 mins! I usually pick the option to 'make a payment' and you tend to get through within a minute and then get that person to transfer you!
A little naughty I know but last time I did the 7 minute thing 4 times before I did the above!!

Who is failing their customers? I think the only problem on this thread is that the customer support can be a bit lacking with DFD.

Yes kallis you're spot on. Its just the call wait times that are frustrating. Other than that DFD have been great with me over the years including at review times.

Tried calling DFD again yesterday to see if ok for me to finally cancel standing order but low and behold still not able to get through to their customer call centre. So I have emailed Declan but just got an out of office reply saying he is out of the office until 14th Nov. Hopefully Declan will be able to confirm this for Mr when he gets back. Come on DFD sort out the ridiculous call wait/no answer customer care line. A customer who is simply looking to know if he or she can go ahead and cancel a dd or standing order should not have to waste time repeatedly calling call centres that do not answer through phone!

Well done and congratulations to both of you, i know too how frustrating it is to try and get through to CS with DFD and is so irritating when you are cut off by them after waiting patiently for several minutes aside from the cost as well, the advice to email them as well doesn't always get an answer either so maybe they need to look at improving this as it is a shame because otherwise they are very helpful.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

Yes orchid you're right about the email option not always meeting with an answer which means there really is no proper reliable way to communicate with them which is a shame ss their service otherwise was great. Thanks kallis but I'll just give Declan a chance to reply in his own time when he gets back to the office. I might give the call centre another ago next week. I'm going to have a bottle of beer on standby as soon as they confirm I can cancel standing order.

Well finally got through to DFD and was given all clear to cancel standing order. I even fed back to the lady the terrible call wait/ no answer customer care line despite otherwise receiving a pretty good service from them over the years. Anyways I can breathe a sigh of relief. Need a drink lol
