I have just got off the phone to DFD (only took 3 attempts & half an hour to get through today!) they have confirmed that they have received our last 2 payments and that we can cancel the standing order. [:D]

We made the last 2 payments together as we were due to finish in September -DFD advised us to pay early as the iva has been playing on my husband's mind and affecting his medical condition badly.

We have been told that the case will be passed to the completions team and they will ring us if there are any problems?? We know there are 2 outstanding creditors.

Can anyone tell me are the completions the same as closures team? What sort of problems can there be? When should I start chasing them?

We are so pleased to have paid the final payment, I just want it all finished asap so my husband can stop worrying.
It's been a long road getting from there to here but it's been worth it!

Well done on making your final payment. I think all companies vary in how the timing of the closure of the IVA. Might be worth a chat with their team to ensure a speedy wrap up to stop your hubby worrying further. At least it's done now. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Well done on finishing. I don't think you will have any problems, the closures team will just be sorting out the finaL bits.

Thanks to everyone for your congratulations. It is a relief to have paid the last instalments but the 2 outstanding creditors are worrying us.

Thanks for asking after my husband Mr Bluesky, he doesn't feel any better - he is still in a very dark place, he has just had to start using a wheelchair and is looking at losing his job and our home soon. All of these things are dragging him down which is making him worse. Just hope we can wrap this iva business up very soon as any stress affects his condition badly.
