Well we've finally getting to a last Christmas within the IVA but by far it seems to be the most testing. Got both our childrens birthdays pre Christmas too. First pc breaks, then the oven and now today the washer. Arrgggh anything else ??
Really don't know how we are financially going to get through it this year

It comes in threes so that should be it!

We had an awful "last" Christmas last year too. Boiler broke down Friday before and couldn't get new one until Jan

We had to take a payment break as contingency nowhere near covered a boiler! Two missed payments meant we overpaid monthly to cover one which was a killer and had to tag one payment on at the end. Needed a boiler though as you need an oven and a washer.

Adding an extra month on was gutting but after 5 long years, four extra weeks was nothing. Luckily, Cleardebt approved things quickly so it wasn't as stressful as it could have been. Christmas money we were given went towards it and so did all the meagre savings. Had to buy 3 portable heaters from Argos but we had immersion switch on boiler so we still had hot water and heating.

I hope things get sorted for you. How old are your children?

All happens when you don't need it ..never a good time.
Try the local recycle sites on facebook ..amazing who sells what on these sites and you might pick up a few bits that are new or like new...
Also alot of the schools are having craft fairs for xmas .... support local events ..you never know what will be on the stalls especially the bric a brac !

Go for a break and fund a pre-loved purchase. Facebook has many local sale pages, worth a look.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

\our children are 13 and 8 . Wouldn't mind the washer was still under manufacturers warranty but they have gone into liquidation so not covered and the shop where we bought it from had the attitude well you win some you lose some

8 is hard. I am glad my son was older. I imagine it's tough explaining why Santa can only bring a few presents to some and lots to others.

I really hope that you get sorted.
