Oh not good Julie, are they easily fixed? My PC has finally gone to the shop and of all things it turns out it's only the ethernet card! Fetching it on Saturday and can stop using this contraption I call a computer it's made of so many different bits it really does need binning but it serves it's purpose.

Hope you're back online soon Julie x

Julie that's not good. I hope you can get them fixed soon. I'm lost if I haven't got mine.

Lesley - good news about yours. It's funny how it can just be something simple isn't it?

mmmm seems as though its more than the screen! I'm waiting to hear the diagnosis but it may be cheaper to buy a new laptop.

i was using the wii to access the internet, but Dobby decided to chew through the cables [:0] he is normally so good but he had a mad 5 minutes...dug up a bit of the garden, attacked the hover as well as the wii! he spent the evening in his bed!

I've borrowed daughters laptop this morning....

Hope everyone is well xx

Oh Julie, wish I could help but I'm using a contraption for a computer made of several different computers! My main PC is in for repair and now awaits collection, no money to collect this week so will say I forgot!

Julie, what are dogs like eh?

I hope that you get your laptop sorted soon. You feel as though your right arm has been cut off don't you?

So your kids never had a broken games console or weren't able to go somewhere with their mates?

You don't know how lucky you were Jan cos a Playstation malfunction to an 11 year old IS the end of the world no matter how many other activities or pasttimes are at their disposal.

Perhaps it might do children good if they realised that there is actually more to life than games consols!

Don't get me wrong Skippy, our sons were both very active as children, what with football, swimming, basketball, cricket, golf and other sporting clubs, I don't know how we found the time to be honest to ferry them around, but I think a balance has to be struck between what children should be doing and what they want to be doing. Overall I don't think we did a bad job as they both appreciated whatever they got no matter how big or small.

Sorry Andy, but a games console going wrong is not the end of the world. My daughter didn't have a problem with that happening.
