Had flowers off hubby last night for the first time in months!!! Tesco had reduced all the flowers to 10p a bunch! Have three vases of fresh flowers in the house day and I smile everytime I look at them. Hubby said it felt good to buy them as he misses buying me things for no reason.

Just wondered what other people working to a budget do to keep the romance going?

We have been together 27 years are we still supposed to be romantic...[:0][:D]

We talk a lot and hold hands when we sit on the sofa in the evenings, we also give each other random unexpected kisses. [:)][:)] He never has bought me flowers if he did I would wonder why!

Hi relieved - Whats romance?! Sorry only joking.
Me n the hubby are just not the romantic type, been together 10 years n having children for the last 8 kinda puts romance out of the question!

We do have a night every so often where we chill out chat n have a drink or 3! Im currently trying to teach hubby how to text on his Iphone so he CAN text me when he is at work.
We have been through so much we dont take each other for granted n have finaly found a balance of respecting what each other does for each other. (learning how to use the washing machine is next on the agenda) he! he! And if he bought me flowers - I would wonder why too!
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

Romance? In his own way he cares but I read too much and watch too much TV and expect it to be like that....it isn't and could be disappointed if I thought about it too much but I don't and we do our own thing. If I was a fish or a football I'd get lots of attention! lol x

Well, actually, she did return my calls. She told me to clear off or she would ring the police.

No romance in this house at all! Married for 24 years, been together on and off for 33. The last time I had flowers was 18th December 1992, I only get a birthday and Christmas card because I send him one and we don't do anniversary's at all! Valentines Day is just viewed as a big rip off. We don't sit together - I'm usually in the dining room on the laptop and he is in the living room watching the TV.

We do get on extremely well though, have no secrets anymore and are best friends.

We're not romantic in the slightest, hubby is, or would be if i let him but I am just not into all that sickly mush I'm afraid

We have been together for 16 years now and are soulmates and best friends, I wouldn't be without him, romance for us is holding hands at the top of a mountain summit!

I always thank her in doors when she brings my breakfast, lunch, dinner. My cups of tea and snacks.

I lift my legs when she is hoovering and make sure my washing is always there for her to do.

and they say romance is dead

I bought myself an i-pad once, got the littl'un an i-pod and the old romantic in me bought the missus an i-ron .... didn't go down as well as I'd hoped !
