Hi to all

10 payments left to go.
I have now discovered this site! Looking for advice on keeping calm and getting through the next 10 months.

How have previous people kept together without constainly counting days, weeks? Or thinking the last 10 months went quickly.

Sometimes feels like I am wishing my life away.
Its only 60 months!

This experience has taught me to improvise, adapt and overcome.

Hi DJ

Welcome. Congratulations on getting this far, you should be so proud of yourself. Suspect its only natural to wish you were at the end however in terms of the distance you have already travelled you only have a few yards to go. Have you made a list yet of the things you are going to spend your spare money on?

Congratulations from me as well. One of my first things is going to be an exotic holiday once I've finished.

Until recently I wouldn't have considered a Safari but I've just looked at my Manager's photos she went to South Africa on Safari and her pictures are so lovely. I think I would love to go. x

Welcome to the forum djroyale - glad you found us so we can share in the last part of your journey and you have extra support until the end. Its like climbing a hill when you're almost there you will naturally yearn to reach the top so don't fight it! The more you try not to do something the more it consumes you so carry on as normal and it'll be 10 months time before you know it.

Best of luck

:-)

Thanks for your posts.

The ideal place for my post IVA trip is to go Christmas Shopping next year in New York.

I think making it through an IVA is going to be one of my proudest moments.

Due to having no more debt hanging over me.

I totally agree about the completion of the IVA being a proud moment and if I get to the end of mine I'm sure that's how I will feel.

Won't be long for you now and I hope it all goes smoothly for you x

Christmas shopping in New York is great! You'll need plenty of warm clothes - when we went it was absolutely freezing!

Lesley - when you finish, not if! I always think the last year will be the worst for me because I'm so impatient. 10 months will fly by...in the new year you can start looking at holiday brochures for next Xmas!!
