just applied for an iva. it may be a stupid question but do you have to keep a record of everything you spend during iva, eg shopping clothes etc for you annual review.

No cuz you get a set allowance for expenditure like clothing, food etc then each year your income & expenditure gets reviewed like mine will soon.

It is a good idea to keep a record of what you are spending, so that you can compare it to the budgeted figures and see if you are over-spending or actually saving.

If you can get a copy, try Microsoft Money. It keeps you up to date with your income and outgoings and you can balance it with your bank statement online too.
There's light at the end of the tunnel - it's just that sometimes the tunnel seems so long.
