We had a courtesy call from Payplan yesterday just to check that we were managing ok.

They also told of this new thing we could have called Justabank, which is just for Payplan clients. On there we can check the progress of our IVA, get in touch with our case manager, make sure our payments are going across ok. They also do payment protection, car insurance. I was quite impressed.

Don't know if any of the other companies do such a thing, but I think it's a great idea.

I had this when i was in a DMP with them. It showed what paymetns were been made to creditors and if they were happy with the payments. Lots of other tools aswell. I appreciate it will be slightly different with an IVa but it was good to know where the money was going. There was an option to contact our supervisor by direct email but to be honest this was a waste of time as it never actually when directly to her and you ended up getting a call from an international number.
Steve.

IVA approved!

I think it's good. Haven't needed to contact them, so don't know how good that it, but just to be able to see that things are going ok gives me peace of mind.

It's good when your IP's keep in touch with you like this - especially if they are trying to sell you a new product - such as PPI or car insurance!!!

How involved should an ip get when it comes to remortgaging advice?? Would it be sensible for them to advise of a "good broker" they happen to know???
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.

Most IP's will have knowledge of firms that they have worked with in the past and can recommend - but they definately will not give mortgage advice and are not qualified to do so. There is nothing wrong with saying that you know a good broker - but it is up to the client to decide whether to use them or not.

I doubt if I will be availing myself of those services, I was just having a nose to see what they had. I will just be checking every so often on the state of play.

Just had a look at this option and according to their website it is only available for those in a DMP.

Hopefully they are extending it to us 'IVA'ers as I think that its a really good idea to know where the payments that we make are actually going.....

That's what I thought Endsmeet, but when we had our call from them, our case manager said she would send passwords through to us. She emailed them and I logged on, changed the passwords and was able to look at the payments we have made.

Obviously with mine, nothing has been paid across yet because I haven't been doing it long enough. If nothing else, you can see who your supervisor is - ours had changed since we first started, so you can keep up to date with that.

If you are with Payplan, why don't you give them a ring and ask them to set you up on it?
