thank you soulgrowth. already sent email to IP. I was thinking of phoning Paul Johns (heard he is very good) but with only £1K coming in a month between us all, i really cannot afford to pay anything.
Got our names onto all local lettings list via internet as soon as we heard coz there is no way we can stay in home when mortgage more than income, let alone anything else. wont be able to pay!
not sure how easy it will be to find rental, not alot in this area and on top of history with iVA, now OH has no job (brother would be able to help us with deposit though) CAB tomorrow me thinks...

Dreadful news - I am so sorry to hear of your partner's job loss. Is he entitled to any redundancy money? If so, this will help tide over the loss of his income for a little while.

At the moment the IVA is your lowest priority. Your partner clearly needs to get into the job market as quickly as he can, and you ought to talk to the mortgage company about a temporary payment holiday. Do you have any mortgage protection insurance.

Clearly you need to inform your husband's IP, but as Debbie rightly says there is no need to kneejerk - as you have a good clear three months of non-payment on both the mortgage and the IVA before either fall into default.

Hope things improve for you very soon.

thank you for kind thoughts. have informed IP and are going to citizens advice tomorrow. no doubt at all that IVA is going to fail (despite the fact we wanted it to work so much, can only look good in bankruptcy proceedings) doubt that we will be able to get a payment break on mortgage as even if OH secures employment it will be nowhere near what we need to survive let alone mortgage, IVA etc. are accepting the inevitable but it is damn scary. feel very bad for all of the work that our IP has done and he has only received payments of £412 x 2. another victim of our combined stupidity followed by one heck of a run of bad luck. OH and I have each other, have our kids and thats all we can expect. reading the posts on here have given me faith and time to be a little prepared. hopefully the powers that be can secure accommodation when it comes to crunch time and realize that we want to do all we can and have been trying to do so (my OH has been employed since he was 16 and at 43 it has been one hell of a kick in the teeth) we even managed to joke that i am now the breadwinner (crumbs) and that maybe he should grow his hair get sky TV and turn into Keith miller off east enders.

No redundancy. started job 11 months ago because better wage/prospects/OT. started on a 6 month probation, had it extended but was told that he wasnt the only one who was getting this. been working stacks of overtime for last 4 weeks. thought everything was OK. 4 weeks before 1 year up, told that terminating employment! told work not up to scratch. was with previous company for 17 years. no problems there!

not sure? might be able to. but basic wage is £500 less pm than the one he just lost. therefore if by some wonderful light he did get old job back IVA will still fail.
