Yesterday my doorbell rang mid morning and I opened to a scene from "The Sweeney" ... two detectives on the doorstep.

"We're from Scotland Yard madam, may we talk to you?"

Well, what do you do other than invite them in and make them a cup of tea!

"We making investigations about a Mr C****, we believe you know him?"

"Oh", says I "you mean the man who drives the funeral cars and comes to cut my grass for me?"

"Yes"

Well they were obviously clutching at straws to trying to pin something on Mr C**** who comes from sooof london and probably has got a bit of a villanious past I expect somewhere in history

Continuing to clutch at straws they asked

"Has Mr C**** ever given you a gun?"

Well ... I just burst out laughing ... and so did they eventually when they realised what a ridiculous question they had asked!! And off they went.

And the relevance of all this to the Forum? Well had I not been on the journey that i had, learnt all I have and been able to become knowledgable enough to stand my ground with authority i would probably have been a quivering wreck on both occassions!

Thank you Forum [:)]

Yours villianously

Debbie

Oh Debbie how strange.....

Have you told Mr C**** that they were asking??

I lived alone in the East End of London at 17 and at 19 moved to South London. Both in 'so called' less desireable areas but I was never happier as there was a real sense of community and people looked out for eachother - maybe all these years later I have rose coloured specs on but it was happy times for me[:)]

Worried when I read the tite of your post at first - wondered what you had been up to!!

LOL

Hi Emma, yes I let Mr C**** know when we passed at the crem today ... he was most upset, but apparently not surprised as there appears to be a bit of vendetta going back a few years.

I most certainly do lead an exciting life nowadays!

I'm going to give my lawnmower a good looking over today ... just in case there is anything concealed within it! [:D]

Blimey, I would have just wondered if I was dreaming. I would still have been a bit of a wreck too. Well done Debbie.

Sounds like something out of Desperate Housewives.
Scary though. Well done for handling the situation as you did.

I thought Life on Mars and ashes to ashes was more appropriate now rather than the Sweeney!

Don't who is worse Regan or Gene Hunt!

Mr C*** is now coming to Holland with me for the weekend as a last minute companion ... with the experiences I've had this week it is highly likely that I will be arrested at Dover!

I should be back with you all on Tuesday ... if I don't appear please will you all have a whip round and put up the bail for me [:)]

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
