Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt
The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.

I agree with you Blossom but the problem may be that the person looking at the screen can only see last year's figures which may have been amended at the time. Tell them to look at the original I&E on the IVA documents and also explain the sacrifices made to sustain the IVA. It is crazy that they are making such a song and dance over this when there are many clients out there who miss payments, do not send in documents on time or make excuses for having spent their overtime. A client like you is a model client and you should be treated as such.
HI BLOSSOM,
we are also with synergi and i know where you are coming from with them not being too helpful . my husband flipped at them a couple pf monnths ago saying ok we might be in an iva but they are being paid a lt of money to do the job ! having said that , they do answer all our queries. we had our 3 rd review in november and had to pay a further 160, but on the forms i could see where they had come up with the figure . we pay that at 40.50 extra a month for next 4 months.they wanted to know why our petrol costs had gone up , forgive me but i thought petrol; was £1.20 nearly everywhere at one point last year , and im a district nurse and i have to drive !!!! last year the only correspondance we had ,was for our review but have been informed they are going to be doing twice yearly reviews now . we should be remortgaging this year, we pay 539 a month at 0.35p £. if i knew then what i know now , i wouldnt have gone with them . but for us so far it has been fairly hassle free , we have 19 months left to go
Many thanks for your comments. Ihave just spoken with the Citizens Advice Bureau and have a meeting with their debt expert on Thursday. I have provided Synergi with all the information on why I disagree with them. I have sent them the original I & E, copies of all e-mail correspondence, etc., etc. I never receive any response to the points I have raised. All I keep getting back from them is that I owe the money and to send them a cheque - I don't think they realise that I am not allowed cheques on my cash account! Very frustrating. As you say Molly16 hindsight is a lovely thing - if only I knew then what I know now. Thank you for your comments Michael. We have done our best and it is hard, but we do want it to succeed. My feeling is that as they have taken nearly £10,000 in fees in the two years we have paid into this they don't care whether it succeeds or not.
