I can see that as proof enough what it costs. Do you work 7 days a week? Cause you're factoring in 28 days of payments
Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. I have work life balance- so sometimes can work 7 days a week. Then there is travel at weekends. To parents, friends, town...This would cover everything.
Remember that its a budget that you alone have to live with so dont try to work it too much. If the IVA is not affordable its not affordable. If creditors wont accept your actual costs then cross that bridge later on.

I'm suprised that the IVA proposal has been sent to you for review, without the IP going throught it with you in fine detail - at least on the telephone - to make sure that the allowances for all areas of expenditure were reasonable, and that the proposed disposable income is actually affordable.
If in any doubt - ask for a proper review call with the firm you have chosen to represent you.
Hi
I was phoned by my IVA company the guy went through what I bought per week and the month gave an idea of my lifestyle and what I did and then he said loads of things I hadnt thought of then he came up with a figure and said would that be ok as it was lower then my major bank loan I said yes and was happy with that He says he couldnt see a problem and then it went thgrough at that figure
As far as I was and am concerned I am paying less than my stupid 5 years conned bank loan ( they jipped me on the first yaer ) so I was happy at that Do I won out in the end
Everybody is different and is allowed various things that others are not I have seen people get allowances for things and others not Swings and roundabouts
All you can do is give your ins and outs as best you can and then see whats left If the total left in your pocket can pay your IVA comfortable then you will be ok
As above theres things you may not have thought about or can claim for I have struggled to be honest and had nothing for ages that I can call a treat but I made the problem and I am dealing with it
When you get a fair figure that you can pay they will either accept or want some extra so if that happens you would cut back on somethings and up your offer
Basically you would do that anyway if you had the loans the same as everybody else does now who are struggling with living in YUK
so its all in the game
All you can do is put your offer forward
good luck

It is all individual - what one person claims for is different for another. Just put down exactly what you spend, your IP will tell you if it needs altering or not.

It's payplan and they never even offered one. I have never even spoken to my IP in person. Just to her team. Is that okay? Am I going to be able to speak to her one to one. They didn't even discuss what my budgets were set as before they sent it back. They said that I would just have to see when I got it. Will she have to agree and re-type the whole thing now?
Hi Sammy - Mel is a fantastic IP who always speaks to her clients as do other firms. I didn't speak to mine at McCambridge Duffy as I had been liaising with a manager there who posts on this forum so really didn't insist on it. I have always spoken to one of my IP's team when I have a question or to advise of changes and if I didn't feel happy with the advise I would insist to speak to my IP.
You really need to have confidence with who you choose to work with for the next 5 years. If you are happy speaking to one of the team, then Payplan are a respected firm (there have been some negative comments on here recently, however they have thousands of clients so a few comments shouldn't be taken out of context).
You are at the beginning of the process (process being 5 years). Why don't you speak to someone else to make sure you are with the right company? We always recommend on here you speak to 2 or 3 companies before making a decision.
If you go to the ask the experts a question part of this site you can see some IP's on there. You could email one to ask for a call back and discuss your circs if you like to make sure you are happy with the way it's all going.
