We'll all get there together!! I'm just waiting to hear from our IP now - hopefully won't be too long. At least they have everything they need now, and our phone is still unplugged so haven't had any creditor hassle!! xx

I feel akin to Penny (even though I think he's a bloke) and Rainbow as we are all at similar stage I don't know them but can't wait for all of us to get to the ....My creditor meeting is on....posts

Pennyless - Thomas works for me, and as soon as he has had his review chat with you to run through the figures, we will probably chat the next day.

In an busy insolvency practice, you have to work to time slots for progressing the work, and I can assure you that your case is very much on target - I would even hestiate to say that it has taken a very short process to get to this stage.

That's what I was thinking and why I am so jealous! Penny, you must have been really good and kept all your paperwork over time, as that is why I am struggling now, having filed everything under B for bin!

Melanie thanks...looking forward to chatting to you sometime, although at the moment the info, service and assistance I have received from initially Tina then Angela has been great all the way along so I'm keeping the big guns for the final push lol. Your quite right the process has went well to-date and after the amount of time spent getting myself into this dreadful position I am just thankful that I have yours and others support in getting myself out of this nightmare hopefully.

Cath I didn't have a filing system either..."out of sight, out of mind" was my motto, but thankfully managed to find everything and one thing this process has made me do is start filing things properly.

Rainbow/Cath I really hope we all get succesfull IVA's in the near future and although I post in the main, my wife reads nearly every post on these forums...so if I start talking about babies, bingo or washing machines please take this into consideration lol.

Anyway onwards and upwards...

We have had a filing system for years which gets periodically weeded and shredded, but it was still 'out of sight, out of mind'. The bills came in and they got filed away before hubby could see them!

He still trusts me to sort the finances out - Lord knows why![:D]

Penny/Cath - it does seem we're all at the same stage, which is great - we can all help each other along. As you say, Cath, even though I don't know you personally you and Penny (and everyone else) have been a fantastic help over the last few weeks. It's good to know there's someone who understands the predicament we're in. I've had confirmation from VB today in writing that my papers have been passed to Melanie, so I feel like we're that bit further on - Cath I'm sure you'll have your paperwork in order soon, chin up hun!! Penny - you'll be sorted before me and Cath from the sounds of it - good luck, sure you'll be fine x

Well as planned got a call of Tom to go through my proposal prior to speaking to Melanie tommorrow.

The call lasted about 1.5 hours and there was very few amendments added to my original I & E which I discussed the start of the process, therefore no horrible surprises.

I realise its not a major step but believe me today couldn't come fast enough, as like others I just want to get to the IVA start line and start on the road to the 5/6 years which hopefully lies ahead to debt freedom.

Onward and upward we go.....fingerscrossed.

Tom will fall you to rearrange the meeting tomorrow Pennyless, as I am due to meet up with some of my old Army friends tomorrow evening! Hopefully we can talk a little earlier in the day, or even Saturday if you are around.

That's good to hear Pennyless - at least you're one step closer. Our papers have been referred to Melanie via VB, so we're just waiting to hear from her now - have had some threatening letters today from our creditors, but not worrying too much. We changed our phone number as well, so we can now plug it back in without worrying who's calling!! x
