I make a menu up for the week so I know what we are having each night & so only try & buy what is needed.
Needless to say it quite often changes and the one I planeed goes out of the window, but when it does work it is good. I also try not to stockpile on things anymore. Like great offeres 2 for 1 that go into the freezer for months. Not anymore.

Ebay for other stuff.

Like the idea of the 99p shop must have a look into that one

i shop at Tesco's as it is only down our road and i have bought a lot of their own brands pre IVA and they are great. I bought a packet of Extra Value Jaffa Cakes for 42p and it was a double box, the real one's are £1 something and Tesco's were better.
I shop around for clothes but i mainly buy mine from places like Sports World and NEXT as they are always having sales.
I usually drink in Wetherspoons as it is loads cheaper and they do Curry Nights where you get a free pint anyway.
If i buy toiletries i usually go to the £ shop and buy tootpaste and deodarants from there but as i say i normally buy TESCO'S own brand as it is cheaper.
I could go on and on but i am loving the challenge and if i can live comfortable on my disposable income what will it be like in 58 months time.
2 down 58 to go

I try to make a list and stick to it. Certain things have to be a known brand - Kellogs cereal, Heinz beans and Ketchup, Fairy washing powder and washing up liquid. I did buy Sainsburys own brand toilet roll this month, but I can't bring myself to buy value toilet roll!

I buy clothes from Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys, and if I want to treat myself to a CD I buy it from Ebay.

I used to buy books, but I've now joined the library although I must admit I don't like waiting for the books to become available!

I get told off all the time for the value toilet rolls. I bought some better ones and hubby said I have to use the sandpaper and he will keep the good ones. lol
I buy from ebay a lot, tesco's online stops me buying stuff because I can see it, poundland wilkies, primark, home bargains. I do the rounds but am lucky they are all close together.

we have shopped at Aldi for years now so (don't understand why in so much debt really). Very good quality and most of the stuff doesn't have E numbers in it.

Another suggestion for the ladies (sorry that sounds awfully sexist - who knows some of the men might find it interesting.

It used to cost me £40 to have my hair coloured (grey roots now) but my husband and I have a romantic night in the bathroom with a bottle of wine and a box of hair colour. He could even take bookings and earn extra money (hair colouring that is).

Wetherspoons curry night and a free pint?

Definitely my kind of evening.
