I had always been fairly fit but lost it for a while there, was really enjoying getting back to it, but my enthusiasm seems to have done me in, apparently doing breaststroke quite often injures the knee (I was doing 40 lengths 3 times a week plus the gym!), I've totally done it in, struggling to get up and down stairs :o( Waiting for physio, it'll be fine & I'll be back to it, I need to I signed up for membership and I can't afford wasting money ever never mind in an IVA!

If it wasn't for the dogs I'd be totally unfit, they keep me going despite my friend Arthur (rheumatoid arthritis)

Haven't been swimming (other than on holiday) for a long time now. I walk the dogs and it is up hill and down dale so not an easy walk. I do the Wii fit sometimes - not as much as I used to though.

I'll go to the gym 3 times a week, walk everywhere I can but still feel I should do more, been for a glucose tolerance test today as my last two blood tests have come back higher than normal. x

I hate swimming and can't swim properly - to me it's something you do if you're drowning! I've got to get back into going to the gym although I have to say I hate all forms of exercise!

I'm with you Skippy, I do it because I feel I have to but it's not something I enjoy.

I don't mind swimming once I'm there but it's the thought of going and getting changed etc.,

When I was 15 I went swimming with Duncan Goodhew (chosen by school).

Did have a pic taken but not sure where it is, no longer as good as I was then but can still manage a few strokes. x

So would I! I can barely manage a length before sinking and I'm scared if I'm out of my depth.

I'm ahead of you fi - will be 47 next week. I did have a wobble earlier this year but niece and nephew tell me I'm such fun, it got me thinking positively again. If I am fun at 47 with a disability then things aren't that bad!
Looks like I am ahead of you Kazzafunk, I will be 49 next week...
