i hope this topic won't go on and on,it gets upseting when a thread can get angry.

as a member ,i hope a line will be drawn under it now and we can all get back to the true spirit of this forum,a real life line of support for many of us.

i hope Vinnie&Roma will both keep posting.

Hi again! Andy will tell you what is needed, but for now start collecting together things like recent bank statements and wage slips, council tax bill, tenancy agreement, electricity, and gas bills and recent statements from your creditors.

Is your bank one of your creditors ? Or is it First Direct or HSBC ? If either of those you will need to open a new bank account as soon as possible.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Hiya! Andy will be able to give you the full list, but from what I can remember I needed three months of bank statements, the latest bill from each creditor and proof of expenditure (tenancy agreement to prove rent, mobile phone bill, electricity bill etc). Glad you're getting ready...you'll be reading your proposal before you know it!

If you need to get a new bank account Roma, the Co-op come highly recommended.

you need to change your bank accounts - as all these companies are the same group and can /do take money from you bank account without permission to meet your debt with them.

By changing bank account - you will prevent them accessing any money you have in your new bank account

If you use the Co-op - you can phone them/or go into a branch to open up an account. barclays/Natwest are others you can use. It is best you do this as soon as you can - as they may even be offered a cheque book etc (which is ok) but No overdraft !!

A belated welcome from me. I would recommend opening a Co-op Cashminder account if they aren't one of your creditors. You can't open this account online, only on the phone or in a branch.
