Never heard of that so it wouldn't have alerted me at all, it was just the way his posts were going.

He may not drum up business but, as you say, he could put people off applying for an IVA or who are struggling.

Yes but why did he use Harrington Brooks, they could have been looking in and came on the thread to defend themselves at any time he or she must have known this,

Thats right Mel - a definition of a troll:

A troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

It's a shame they didn't see it as it might have prevented everyone's time being wasted! His company also posted on the BR forum a while back and were banned.

Firstly well done Andy for outing this person, secondly we do seem to have had a few posters recently who aren't even relating their posts to IVA, ie wedding dresses etc, shame that they think it is clever, me i think it's time they returned to the kindergarten!
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

Orchid -- you aren't referring to social posts, are you ? These tend not to be IVA related (but can be filtered out if the reader so wishes)
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I must admit, Harpic, that I notice very few spam posts, so admin are doing a good job.

Mind you, there are days when I would miss world war three !!!!
