Hi all,

My name is Ben I had an IVA with Wilson Phillips some time ago I managed to pay the balance of the IVA off early and when I called to make sure they had had payment they said yes and that everything is complete. Now some 4 years later I have been made aware that you need a certificate to prove you have completed your IVA this was not explained to me at the time and now imagin the horror as I search for Wilson Phillips only to find they themselves have dissolved. Could anybody help me. What do I do where do I go. I have check back and do have a name of a IP that was handling my case but do not wish to make it public encase I harm the reputation of an innocent party. I would disclose this in a personal email if anyone thinks it may help [email removed]

Regards

Ben

No I have tried but the number i had is for a IP with the same name my IP was David Bottomley I know I should not really put it on but I really need help I have spoken to a different DB and they helped by putting me in contact with Grant Thornton the company that took on all Wilson Philips IVA'S when they stopped. They then told me my IVA must have been completed before they took over. They then gave me a email address and send they could help me get a copy of my final report but I have just tried to email and got back a failure notice this is address [email removed]
I really don't no where to go now any more help or ideas from anybody gratefully received

Ben

Hi Ben, have you tried searching the insolvency register for the IP.

Melanie Giles one of our expert posters is an IP and is very current in the insolvency area so may be able to help. Keep checking back and Melanie may be around at some point today or tomorrow.

I've removed your personal email and the other email as it is agaist the terms of the site and leaves you wide open to spam mail too.

Keep checking the topic as someone may be able to help.

In the meantime check the Insolvency website at http://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/fip1/
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

It is likely that you received the certificate with the final report and have nothing to be concerned about. No creditors have been in touch so get a copy of your credit file and see if anything is still listed on there. The IVA should fall off six years after the start date so perhaps there is nothing on your credit file either.

Have looked at C Report and is still on it I have proof of compleat ion now and have sent that email to credit expert once they remove from their list will I have to do the same at all other credit agencies or will it come off them at the same time? Also is there any way that it being on for to much time will effect my rating more and if so can anything be done to rectify this as it should have been removed 18 months ago. Is some one to blame or is that me.

Ben
Many thanks for any help

Hi Ben,

I believe that when you have completed, you send a copy to all 3 credit agencies, and they will amend it accordingly. This is something that you have to do, and is not a responsibility of your former IP.

I would then check that the records are up to date, and maybe the insolvency register as well.
