There has been no change in the law - perhaps a change in the way your firms IVAs were drafted perhaps?

Grant Thornton contacted me to let me know I am in Breech of my IVA because of my arrears even though my payment break was authorised by Wilson Phillips.

I think GT are a nightmare company, I just want to make my monthly payments and forget about it all but I've had so much hassle since the takeover!

I presume you have managed to sort it as you said in a previous post you are just coming up to your fifth year?

Well hopefully, I phoned them up and spoke to a rude woman on the phone to explain the situation.

A couple of weeks later I received a phone call from them, they wanted to discuss my arrears with them.

I think everything is sorted but then again they seem to say one thing and then you get a letter in the post saying something else.

Their customer service is disgraceful.

I presume that you will have been given the name of your new IP.

If you are not getting anywhere with the office staff, try emailing the IP direct. You can contact them via this link:

You might get the right answers.

It has to be worth a try.

Hopefully it is all sorted though.

Let us know.

It is sad to see that a firm of the reputaton of GT are getting so much bad press on this forum at the moment. I suspect that this largely relates to handover issues from the previous IPs - taking over existing cases is never the easiest job unfortunately.

Whitegold - I know the two IPs at GT very well and would be happy to have a word with them about your disatisfaction if you would like.
