I have recently received paperwork regarding ppi claimback from a company who deal with my iva company. Is this normal procedure to have to claim ppi once in an iva? A lady from this company was quite insistent about me filling in the forms and sending them back. The forms contain information about my car hp company and current bank who have nothing to do with my iva...just abit worried.
Thanks
Hi. This is now standard procedure and good that your firm are getting this underway so early as it can take years! They will dig out and contact creditors past and present, even those long finished with, to see if there is any PPI refund due.

I did my own PPI and raised nearly £6k. Had I gone through one of these companies, 25% would have been deducted. Doing it this way ALL the PPI went into the pot. No £4.5k that would have been the case. I think there is enough fingers in the "pie" pot already.
Some firms will still want to dig, even if you have done some of the work yourself -- I have discovered from experience that they will dig a lot deeper than you will. However, as you say, at least any you have discovered will go to the "pot" free from deductions for the claims company.
