I'm looking for a reputable IVA provider any recommendations?

Has anybody heard of IV.net?

Hi,

There are a lot of companies about who come recommended on here. You can either click on the 'Ask a Question' link on the left hand side of the page and contact one of those, or visit www.iva.com which is a comparison site. Give one or two a ring for some free advice.

Not heard of IV.net.

Melanie Giles I hear is really good and posts quite frequently on this forum.

I was with Hamiltons, before they were taken over by Begbies Traynor, and they were good throughout the setup, sorting out of reviews and getting final completion documents at the end to me really quickly. But they don't post on here.

Depends on what you need, take a look at the reviews on http://www.iva.com

dizziediva (love the name!) - I would go to the other website as Jan suggests. I had an idea who I would go with from my visits to this forum but checked out another company as well from iva.com.
Always important to get someone you feel comfortable with and can open up to as you have to bare your financial soul! You also need to work with them for 5 years.
Melanie Giles is well recommended on here as is McCambridge Duffy, Payplan and others. Take a good look at the scores on the other site and give a couple a call.
The other thing to consider is paying upfront. Some companies ask for 1 or 2 payments (some off the IVA and some as a fee. We never paid a fee or nothing up front which in our situation is quite important!
Did IV.net contact you? If so, personally I wouldn't go with anyone who had cold called. We had quite a few of these in the months leading up to the IVA - you wouldn't buy a car off someone who called you to see if you wanted it and you should treat the IVA in the same way in my view.

Totally, 100% agree with that [:)]

I haven't heard of iva.net - the website Jan mentioned is a good place to find a firm. It doesn't hurt to talk to two or three and see who you feel most comfortable with. Good luck x

Hi. I am with Tenon and they were excellent setting up the IVA, very fair with allowances and fast. My only gripe, so far, is that I have no named contact, so you basically deal with whoever answers the phone.

First review coming up soon, so we'll see how we feel about each other after that :-)

Have a look at the link you've been given, as well as wandering around the forum. Mnay IP's post here and you can get a flavour of how they work.

If it is iva.net then they are owned by McCambridge Duffy so they should be a reliable firm.

I wonder if he could get them to chnage the name -- I keep wanting to write McDuffy Cambridge .... I am sure that sounds better :-)
