Just to let you know I have received confirmation that my IVA has been approved.
To summarise, I owed approximately £15,450 (not quite as much as I thought it was originally) split between 4 creditors:
Halifax £10,150
MBNA £3,800
HSBC £1,400
HMRC £100
I was offering £210 per month, but my IP and I built in a buffer of £55 to account for increases that I was told there would inevitably be (as Halifax and HSBC are part of TIX).
Received my modifications yesterday evening (even though my meeting wasn't until today) and the payment has been increased to £270 per month, which is absolutely fine - I can afford that due to the buffer we built in - if we had budgeted £270 and it had been increased to £330, then I would have been struggling, so the buffer has worked for me.
Standard other modifications, I have to release 50% of any overtime and bonus over and above a 10% increase of my standard monthly take-home pay.
I am delighted, and I want to thank each and every one of you who has given me help, advice and most importantly, support over the last few months. There are too many of you to mention by name, but I do appreciate it immensely.
I am off to get slightly tipsy tonight with the remainder of the cans of lager I have from New Year!!!
Thank you again guys, I am truly greatful to you all!!
