Well,,,, if you have been following our story regarding our IVA then you would know that our creditors meeting was adjourned last Thursday.
Well after a loong week we had a phone call from Tom today & he said that NR had accepted our IVA proposal, but there were modifications,, most of the mods were with IP fees etc,, but the big one was to extend our IVA for a furher 12 months from 60 to 72. Now we were warned about this by Melanie on a phone call meeting we had some weeks ago so it wasnt such a shock.
Anyway we are over the moon that we are on the road to debt freedom & 7 years is better than a lifetime of debt that we would never pay back, & we will look at this like any other loan we have had but that this one is the final one, the loan to end all loans.
I would like to thank Melanie & all her team that have been involved in sorting our debt out.
We know its not going to be easy,, but we can see an end,, a light at the end of the tunnel,, it will get closer with every payment made.
Also special thanks to peeps on this forum for help & support oer the last few months, just feels like we are not alone,, so thankyou for that.
Kind Regards, MP

IVA accepted 1st October 2009

Hi Mikepappa, what great news..do you mean a 6 year IVA rather than 7 which you mentioned, either way you're on the way to debt freedom so a great result for you and another result for Melanie and her wonderful team.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
