Hi everyone,
just a quick question about something that has been bugging me!
My partner is in an IVA (full & final now offered), none of the debt has anything to do with me, at his 1st year review his IP asked for a copy of "my" last 3 months wage slips. I pay my fair share to all the household expenses, just curious as to why they needed copies of my wage slips when really this IVA has nothing at all to do with me?
Did i do the right thing by sending them the information they requested?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi stazza2486. Welcome to the forum. You are right in saying his debts aren't anything to do with you. I believe it's in order to assess whether you are both contributing proportionately to the household expenses. I hope his F&F is accepted. x

Thanks for your quick reply gilli
I too am hoping his offer gets accepted, but im having my doubts, its quite a low offer, about £4,500 short of what his remaining payments for the term would have been, unless of course they take in to consideration the money they have had from his PPI claims. If they do take that into account then i would think there might be a good chance of it being accepted, well not long to wait now to find out the verdict! his meeting is tomorrow at 11am! I worry more about this IVA than he does

Hope he appreciates having you as a supportive partner! The F&F is also considered in context of why it's being offered - i.e 3rd party funds; job loss/worry; diminished income; greater expenses; health issues etc. The general advice is to get it as close to what the remaining payments would have been, so he's not that far off. Please wish him luck for tomorrow, and please let us know how it goes! x

Thanks Gilli, There has been talk of job losses as his place of work (almost had a heart attack when he told me! all i could think about was his IVA) So after having to overcome some serious fear about telling my mum about his debts, she offered the funds to be able to make the offer. Do you think he will hear of the outcome on the same day? I do hope so because having this worry of whether his offer has been accepted of not and not knowing until after the weekend will drive me mad.
As soon as my other half hears anything, i will post back here with an update,*fingers crossed for good news* Not much ever seems to work out for me and him, surely something has got to change lol.

Hopefully the result will be known on the same day... The only reason it woud not be known is if less than 75% of the creditors who vote on the day decline the offer ....the IP may then adjourn the case and try to gather additional yes votes.

...He's got a great 'ma-in-law'too - lucky fella!!
It's as lulu says...they usually say for you to be available for the call after the meeting, or may ask him to call in after a certain time the same day. x

**Sorry ive got two posts**
**update**
Arrrghhhhhh
The other half just phoned to say he received a phone call saying, it's not good news & it's not bad news!
Apparently the lady he spoke to said she hasn't had any paperwork back yet! (he was told this does happen often and is nothing to worry about, they could be busy??) If he doesn't hear back from her by 5pm, she said she will call on Monday
Does anyone know if this is quite common? Im pulling my hair out here.
