Following a stressful 2 week adjournment of the Creditors Meeting I am delighted to be able to report that my IVA has now been accepted, albeit with a modification that requires me to pay for 69 months instead of 60. It's going to be a long slog but finally I can start on the road to being debt free.

Huge thanks due to Melanie and her team, as others have said there are IP's and then there is Melanie [:D]

Also must thank this site and all the regular contributors who have been so encouraging and without whom I'd never have known about Melanie Giles and the IVA Advice Bureau.

Modification was the length of the term pog1234, originally 60 months but extended to 69 to allow me to keep my car.

Thanks all, it is a great result for me. I did need a half decent car as I do around 20,000 business miles a year and have 4 kids so I needed a reliable people carrier as a minimum. It is awkward asking for a consideration such as this as I was not really in a position to bargain but Mel's team sorted it.

Mel is good and understands the needs of her clients so therefore her and her entire team go that extra length to keep the client happy whilst conforming to the IVA. I'm with Mel and team and they have helped me so much.

This was a tough one - but we enjoy those more! The credit for this goes to my wonderful colleague Claire who is like a dog with a bone when it comes to creditor modifications. On the whole I feel this is a very good result all round!
