Ok here goes,
Right I entered into an IVA with Money Debt and Credit in August 2007. Recieved an completion certificate from them in October 2012. Great I thought untill I went to check my credit file October 2013. To my shock the IVA is still on my credit file. Phoned MDC who informed me that my file was with Grant Thorton. So I phoned Grant Thorton up who said that a PPI check needed to be carried out along with VAT issues that also needed to be carried out ( In thier words dot the I,s and cross the t,s). They then informed they would sennd the relevant paperwork out to me for me to read and sign. 3 weeks later still no paperwork even after numerous phone calls. My concern now especially after reading about grant thorton on the website that this could take upto another 2 years.
So is there anyway I can speed this up. Could I do the PPI through another company then offer grant thorton the money. The only ppi that I know of is £1300 with an egg loan. Should I offer some money to grant thorton to try and settle this earlier I do have the money from which I have saved since finishing the iva.
Not sure what to do I just want to get the iva off my credit report. And the last 2 defaults that are linked to this IVA.
All I want to do is sort my credit file so that I can get a morgage. What frustrates me is the fact that I complied with the IVA. Paid all the payments on time yet I still feel I'm in in debt.
As always any advice greatly recieved.

hi, you have received your completion certificate? If you have send this to all the credit reference agencies and they should remove details of your IVA...this PPI thing is confusing to me and don't claim to always understand the ins and outs but I would have thought if completion certificate is received that is it? but hang in there for another poster to comment.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Surely if you have your completion certificate then that is it! To me there is an admin error somewhere in the takeover of your IVA by GT.
I would not offer to make any payments .... I would insist on a meeting with your IP and seek their immediate action ....
Experts from GT do post on the forum ... It might be worth contacting them direct.

Quick update. Name off the insolvency record at last. Send copy of cc to insolvency register . Just waiting now for the credit file to update.
