Hi
Happy New Year, I have to say mine has started pretty badly....

managed to end up with the car in a ditch on new years day..it was hidden by a foot of snow! Hd to be pulled out by a tractor!

My husband hasn't been able to work for a week (self employed driving instructor)due to the weather so we haven't had any money coming in, I contacted the bank today to ask for help and to see if there was anyway they would cover the direct debits (I'm in a DMP & i don't have an overdraft I will be £240 short)they advised me to cancel my direct debits ?????? to avoid charges...??? I don't understand what good that would do as I still owe the money????

and to top it off a pipe in my kitchen has just burst...
Pass me the rope aaaaggghhhh

I hope that I have all my bad luck this month and things will begin to improve soon

Sorry to moan,
Are you aware if there is there a bank that is more sympathetic to DMP's??? I know it's a long shot!!!

Hi Suezieq what a bad start to the new year for you.. I would contact your dm company to update them they should be able to waiver your payments as a 1 off. Try not worry but the bank were correct in you cancelling your DD because you would incurr more debt through bank charges. good luck ..

Hi you are having a rough time this month, hopefully things will pick up for you very soon. I would definitely contact your DMP company and explain to them and hopefully a payment missed will be all that is required. All the best x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
