Is my husbands pension lump sum classed as a windfall ?

we are in an iva my husband has been pensioned off from the NHS due to ill health and we will receive a lump sum as his pension is this classed as a windfall?

Welcome to the forum. You will need to advise your IP of this change in your circumstances and seek their advice as to how much or if any needs to be entered into the IVA for the benefit of your creditors.

Please check the wording of your proposal, most exclude pension monies. You may be able to defer the drawdown till a later, but get advice first, from your employer or an IFA maybe

Louise, I was in the same position and had to pass over £30k. It was classed as a windfall. Please seek advice from a serious expert in this field.
