I need to buy a few things I've been putting off, mainly electicals such as a shredder and microwave, I'll let you know if I find any bargains. There's also a new pound shop opened up near me, not seen this particular chain before but unlike the others I've seen it looked reasonably tidy, well stocked and well laid out, heard only good things about it so may give it a try. Went into 99p store once it was hideous maybe this new store will change my mind.

To be honest I don't think I'd buy electrical stuff from there.

I love Poundland but prefer Home Bargains - that is a brilliant shop!

Poundland isn't bad but I hate all the pound shops that are springing up - we've got another one in town and apart from Poundland they are so cheap and nasty looking!

I'd love a pound shop in my town. Nothing here empty shops and european shops it's all we have.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

We have 3 pound shops in our town you can have one of ours Lesley! One is pound land that ones ok but the other 2 are cheap looking & full of rubbish! Pound stretcher has just Opened here too! I'm sure our council thinks we need 3/4 of these type shops for all the chavs that live in our town! Yet we don't have anything like primark or shops that sell cheap clothing apart from matalan.

Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

Bet you don't have as many chavs as we do Lyns!!! As to clothes shops we have the likes of Evans and Burtons, the supermarkets, New Look and Mackays. Loads of charity shops though.

Never bought anything electrical as I don't think it's particularly cheap - prefer the likes of Comet for that.

Foodwise though it is brilliant.

It's the same here Lyns, chav city I'm afraid! The council recently changed the name of the town, but as OH said yesterday unless they ship out the chavs it's not going to change!

We buy trays of chicken breasts from Costco. You get 10 for approx £15 and I find they are bigger than the ones from Tesco. I put 2 in a freezer bag. Agree with Harpic that mince is really lean. I spilt a tray into 3 for freezing. A third will do a chilli or a cottage pie for me and hubby with a bit left for the dog.

I use their own brand shampoo/conditioner which is good value.

It is eay to get carried away though.

We quite often stop for a slice of pizza in the cafe afterwards.
