Or does January feel like the longest month ever?.
Still, on the bright side, no complaints from our postie
about suffering from rsi after shoving all the bills through
our letter box.
Also on the plus side the Sun £9.50 holiday is booked.
Got a dirty weekend in Porthcawl at the end of June.

Not sure where Mrs Torch is going though[:D].

January seems never ending. we finaly get paid next week. wooohooo. Have approx £50 left, but it is ok cause only need to get a few bits and give out dinner money.

This has been our first full month in an IVA and as many posters have said before us lots has happened. the car failed its MOT and cost us just over £300.00 in a few months this would not have been so bad never mind it's behind us now.

As Mr Torch says summer is not far away.

I totally agree - it seems a lifetime. Five months into our IVa and this is the first month we have really felt a pinch - at least only one more week to go before pay day and hopefully we can then get on an even keel.
we're moving in March so I've decided to clear the freezer and food cupboards - hopefully that will save us at least two weeks food money - bit concerned though at what we might be eating - such odd food in the back of the cupboard!

I do that every couple of months decide to empty the freezer and cupboards. Gives you a chance to defrost as well. I have an abundance of pork chops so I think we will have to start using them. (all the slimmers I will cut the fat off them even though it is the best bit).

Jan/Feb are always my worst months, all my car costs come at once! On top of that I need new glasses which have just set me back £315!!! not quite within the 'allowance' but whilst i'm quite happy to scrimp and scrape on everything else, my glasses are a neccessity. Luckily I've managed to build up a contingency fund to pay for them!

If your moving Lulu, why not put all your bits and bobs on e-bay - all the stuff you dont really need but think you should take to the new place anyway!!!
I'm very lucky in some respects, have a wonderful older man who likes to take me away for 2 weeks in the summer and odd weekends here and there ???????
