I can't think of anything more boring than fishing! When we go away Dave sometimes goes fishing, but I either stay behind or sit on the beach reading a book!

Can never understand the fascination with fishing - I've always found the thought of it incredibly boring.

Don't like darts either.

And don't get me started on WWF!

Hi jan i was of the same mind as you with regards to fishing then met someone who was into it in a big way, it was a case of can't beat them, join them and once i'd got used to having to put a maggot on the hook i throughly enjoyed the wait for that bite, if you could have seen me the first time trying to psych myself to pick up a maggot, was distracted and then moaned because i'd lost sight of the one that i was about to pick (not easy when you are looking at hundreds in a bowl!) and then to top it all when i struck for the first time the poor fish then circumnavigated the globe!!!!!!!! No fishing is quite relaxing although i haven't done any for a long while but i am now converted lol.

take care and be safe.

X

Nope, peaceful = boring! I also have a problem with fish being pulled out of the water and then put back. To me that's unnecessary suffering.

I just can't see the point in catching a fish, and then putting it back again.

I could not be doing with maggots at all. I used to live above a fishing tackle shop and to get to the flat I had to go along a little passage which had a gate at the end and was covered over so it was quite dark. I used to work shifts and came home late at night sometimes.

The shop used to have their weekly delivery of maggots on a Thursday afternoon - which was half day closing! When I used to get home from work at night, I would have to open the gate, make out which side the crates were on, and then flatten myself against the opposite wall to get past!

Makes me shudder to remember it!
