The sheep comment wasn't a dig at anyone on here! I just get fed up with a lot of people who have iPhones looking down on those of us who don't! I was told yesterday that people who have a Samsung etc only have them as they can't afford an iPhone! Er no, I have one as I want one!

Each to their own ... I don't subscribe to phone snobbery (as Man from Primark, I couldn't subscribe to any snobbery anyway!).Different people want their phones to do different things. Mine makes and receives phone calls, which is all I want from it!

I want mine to do the internet so I can access the forum at work, otherwise I'm stuffed. Don't make that many calls or send a lot of texts.

Hubby does not have a mobile at all!!

I love technology (never consider I'm snobby) and would go for anything that outs money permitting, would love an ipad but not getting one, once upon a time I'd have had one because I could now I don't need and can't afford so won't have....how times change? Who'd have thought I'd have shopped in some of the places I do now but I never say never and although I work with technology and love technology it doesn't mean I can own it. x

Providing I can make calls, send text and emails on my phone I'm happy! I love gadgets and would love a Galaxy Tablet but like you say Lesley times change and I don't need one and can't afford one so I won't be getting one!

The one thing I do like to have is a nice camera and I did spend the rest of the bonus on a new one - the problem is they've since brought out a better one so of course I now want that! I won't be getting one though!

that is the problem isn't it, as soon as you've bought something within weeks the next model is out....I'd love to keep up but can't. i would love to get into photography but can't at the minute due to lack of funds but wouldn't mind a decent camera at some point. x

Being one step behind technologically means the gadgets get cheaper!

I was gutted when they brought the next one out, especially as there'd been no hint it was coming out and I paid full price for mine! I do love it though and it takes brilliant pictures - I just need to learn how to use the settings!

I have an entry level smartphone, a Vodafone Smart, cost £70. It can be a bit sluggish occasionally but its mine and all paid for plus as it is PAYG I get the freedom Freebie each month for £10 with 100 mins, 300 text and 50MB web, plenty for me as it only uses the 3G web allowance when I am away from a WI FI network otherwise irt connnects to those. Love it, it is my great considering my last phone made and received calls and that was all no camera or anything.

ompletely agree with this.. There WAS a time where having an iPhone you were in a select group. However, i fail to see how having the same phone as millions and millions of people puts you in an elite club.

Like you say, it's not that i can't afford an iPhone, i don't want an iPhone, EVER.. The 4S is just a slight upgrade (which is still behind the top android phones). I don't get the whoel iCult thing, i REALLY don't.

Their policy of suing anyone about anything based on patents that are clearly a joke also makes me want them to spectacularly collapse. It's especially funny seeing as 75% of iOS's "new innovated features" were so blatantly stolen from android.

I'm glad it's not just me Animaleyes!

I agree about Apple suing other companies, I so want Samsung to win their case. All companies use similar technology - if they didn't there would only be type of car, one brand of television etc.

I like the Android operating system, it's easy to use and unlike the iPhone you can use Adobe Flash.

Someone at work has his 4S and was telling me how great it was, but my phone can do everything (apart from Siri) that his can! I respect his choice to have an iPhone but he's not going to convert me!

That's the other thing i hate, the fact that they have to try to "convert" you like jehovahs witnesses do. Android has some good voice control software such Vlingo. It works quite well. It's not as polished as SIRI but then Apple didn't even create SIRI, they just bought the company that did.. True innovation again....
