And of course plastic, if you are not in any debt, why would you be looking at a debt forum?

Everyone who starts to post on here is in trouble and tells us so and asks for advice, they don't come straight on with posts about savings and nothing else.

HSBC are my worst nightmare, HSBC don't like people who are in debt, if you are in debt with them they don't want to help just pest you with constant call and letters.

I've heard so many bad things about HSBC that I wouldn't use them even if they'd have me!

I was just looking on moneysavingexpert. I love going on there and also watching Martin Lewis when he appears on GMTV.
I have never had any dealings with HSBC and reading some of your posts I am so glad. All my accounts were with Barclays - but not anymore.
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!

As I have posted before HSBC were the only bank to offer us an account at the beginning of this year having been turned down by Nat West Lloyd's TSB after First Direct closed our account because we have an IVA. so far so good, they know all about our IVA showed the staff member all our paper work. So they may be worth approaching if other banks refuse to open an account for you. Co-op were one of our creditors, we had a credit card with them.
only have a basic account with them with on line banking, find an issue with only being able to draw money out from the post office and HSBC machines a bit of a problem but now have a Tuxedo card so life is a little easier.

You'll never convince me that HSBC are worth having an account with. They were a nightmare!

Surprised that they let you open an account with the IVA, especially as First Direct closed your account and the two banks are linked.

Nationwide are a good one, and you can use your cash card at any machine.
