Wow, just checked. It's 3 months to the day that I received my completion certificate and I've just checked the insolvency register and I'm not on there!. Hooray!!! I'm clear. It's hard to believe - I had to check twice but NO RECORD.

6 years will be up in November when I expect all defaults to drop off!. I have a Capital One credit card to build up a good credit record before end of year. I was surprised I got a £1500 limit and a reasonable interest rate of 26%. I won't use the credit facility and plan to pay off each month. So,in just over 6 months hope to have a clean credit file with no debts.

It's all worth it in the end. For those just starting the journey hang in there and keep focused on your goal.[:)]

Good news WB. Must admit I checked the IR for a couple of weeks after I came off, just in case I re-appeared .... and still have the odd peek now !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Good news - well done!
