hello ,can you please advise me when i fill out an income and expenditure form for an iva if my daughters dissability living allowance should be included in this ? it is allocated in her name and she needs various extra items per month which this has been given to her for by the government ,i was told by the cccs that her money should not be included and should really be put by for any future requirements she may need regarding her disability ,i am quite prepared to disclose all of our income including carers allowance that i receive and mobility and also her disability living allowance (the one in her own rights ),it just seems awful that she should suffer due to my debts .could she have this paid into her own account ?

As far as I know and from reading other threads on this forum, your daughters disability allowance will not form part of your IVA - ie it will not be taken into consideration when calculating your IVA payments. However, you do need to inform your IP of all income and they will advise you.

Sorry Sue but I think it is the opposite it is taken into I an E but you must put down all the extras on the form that are needed for your daughter thus in a way recouping it back. So make sure you put everything that is neededfor her. Extra travel costs, extra clothing ,hospital travel, linen. If you do this then the amount should in effect cancel itself out on the I and E.

Melanie, lily someone will tell us which is right.
Sorry to confuse you depressed wait a while and it will be confirmed either way.
The other thing to do is ring your company and they should confirm.

Aguise is right - but do make sure that all of your daughter's associated expenditure is recorded.

Hi
Just to clarify that all income must be shown but with allowances such as disability living allowance should be offset by increased expenditure,so effectively one counter balances the other.
