I am currently in an IVA with my "now" ex partner.
She has moved out of our property, which has no equity, even it did, one of our creditors has tagged the property at the land registry.
I have asked her if she will sign the property over to me as we both lose out if we sell it. She is considering this.
Where do i stand with my IVA, can it be split as its in both our names, will my payments go down as i have commitments on my own, mortgage, bills etc.
Or will my supervisor insist that we pay our current monthly payment, no matter what.
This is a distressing time as it is without worrying about this as well.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Sharpy, Welcome to the forum. I would suggest that you speak to your IP about this matter, as I am sure they would be able to help. As you have had a change in circumstances, you need to contact them

Your IP may well be happy to separate the arrangements, but if you are both happy to continue paying your share there is really no need.

Hello

I was never given the option to separate the joint IVA I had with my then husband, even though I rang my IP to say I was separating from my now ex husband
I wish I was offered this option as he is not paying anything towards the full and final offer but reckons it is within the divorce settlement that we have concluded with!!! so I'm the one left to try to remortgage which if you have seen my thread you know I have had ongoing nightmares with this, but hoping when my 2nd full and final meeting occurs on the 2nd May it will all be approved and I will be able to move on.
good luck sharpy, I hope it all works out for you.
