Not sure if it is the telephone call for the I & E I had one 26th June and from that they arranged a creditors meeting when they had put it all together. They already had all the details of my I & E just went through it with me, and said they would draft the proposal the meeting was 10th August. so not sure which stage you are at. I was with Grant thornton as well. From it going to the drafters they said they had to give 30 days notice to the creditors, sent us the new proposal and phone the same day to talk it through. However we were away as my son got married in Cyprus ( paid for by him I might add) so they did not phone me about it. I just arrived home to the letter. The meeting was 10th August at 10.00, few probs but they rang me 9.00 next morning. So not sure if you are at the talk stage or the proposal stage. Good luck anyway. xx
ITS OVER WE ARE FINALLY DEBT FREE, CERTIFICATE ARRIVED

hi all

thanks very much for all your support. I had the telephone variation meeting where GT went through a new I&E, they said between putting together a new proposal and sending it to creditors etc I should get a decision in October time. In the meantime they have reduced my monthly payments to them to allow me to pay off the credit card. I have to say she was very good and said they would do their very best to try and ensure it wouldnt fail, but ultimately it will be up to the creditors.

That's good news - hopefully at the meeting in October the creditors will see sense.

Hi - I havent been on here in a while, ive been on tenderhooks since August waiting on word on whether or not my IVA will fail as a result of using a credit card. I will find out tomorrow what the Creditors decision will be... sleepless night ahead I thinks!

Hi Cherry545 - welcome back! I hope it goes your way tomorrow as I'm sure GT will have explained the circumstances.

Fingers crossed for you and try and press the pause button for tonight - fretting won't change anything so think positive thoughts and if it goes your way, great - if it doesn't then you will feel in a more positive place to tackle it but hopefully that won't be necessary.
