Seriously, does anyone actually get to talk to an IP(other than Mel)???

If they had replied to your calls then this wouldnt have happened.

I do think it's vital for a smooth running IVA to be in contact with your IP, I'm not sure how I'd cope without Mel being my IP. x

In reality a lot of IPs will speak directly with their clients - but in the larger volume processing companies this will not always be possible due to the numbers. Nothing wrong with this approach so long as the ground staff are sufficiently trained and able to make senisble decisions quickly.

In reality Mel,customers have to jump through hoops frequently to even get near an IP's ear!!!

You often read the frustration in posts. I know I'm lucky and do appreciate the fact that Mel is my IP.

Getting there Mel, slowly but surely and dare I say it, things aren't too bad right now, think all my fair share of bad luck was in the first 18 mnoths. x

Hmmm I e-mailed my IP this evening and got a response within a few minutes. Doesnt' take a rocket scientist to work out who my IP is; and it is thanks to this forum that I made my choice of IP company and for that I will be forever grateful as clearly it was the right choice.

I'm guessing we have something in common Rod, I've had an email reply late into the night when I've been an insomniac and emailed and surprisingly got a reply immediately x

You are so right Lesley, an inspiring and very modest insomniac is our IP....

I'm not with Mel (unfortunately!) but had to speak to my IP company this morning and got straight through to my case worker who was able to answer my query and put my mind at rest.

Just shows Jan that the majority of IPs and their teams really do work hard on our behalf. Hope the others who have had some difficulty find that it is only a temporary glitch.

The vast majority do, but of course there will be problems, especially if you use a large firm.

A couple of years ago I needed to contact my company over Christmas only to find that they had shut down for two weeks!!

Not good!
