Hello

I have searched and searched the forumn for the answer to this question, but can not find the answer.

When in an IVA, the debt is not written of "so to speak" until the IVA is complete and you have had a completion papers.

If the IVA was to fails I imagine the people you owed money to can chase you again including interesting.

Now then, when my IVA was accpeted i moved 2 days later, so on the insolvency register it as my old address which is probably the reason why i have had no junk mail of peolp claiming they can reduce my iva payments etc, and everybody I owed money to does not have my new address.

So based on the fact that the loans/debt are not wriiten of till the end of the IVA, are the bank accounts still open, if so shouldnt you receive statments, if not what happens to the accounts, surely the banks would not close them till the IVA is finsished.

Also even after 6 years after starting the IVA when your credit limit is wiped, surley the banks you owed money to would still have it on their record, does that mean you would never get credit it of them again.

I am very interested in peoples responese to theis post

no matter how bad money gets, theirs stll alot more important things in life

The debts are still there James in the eyes of the law, but that doesn't mean that creditors will automatically start pursuing you again - but of course they do have the right to, and many of them do actually keep their accounts open as a means of dealing with the dividend cheques as they are paid over by your IP.
