Thank you all for your kind words. I cant wait until monday so I can start up the tug of war with my IP again.....not!

My income drops as of December so I will have to do yet another I&E and yet again request a variation

If your income is going to drop I don't see how your IP isn't interested in this. You can't pay money you don't have, so surely it's in everyone's interests for them to put a variation forward rather than letting your IVA fail.

You would think so.

I am going to talk to them tomorrow, let them know how tough things are. Surely they must be aware that industry is suffering. I am taking home a lower wage now than this time last year so I dont know how they work their figures out

Good luck Shanks - we are waiting to see if hubby's payments can be reduced, so know exactly how you feel.

Who is your IVA with?

Thanks for your kind words Swans girl, I hope it goes well for you guys too.

My IVA is with Hamiltons (any feedback appreciated!!)

There are sufficient funds available for my IP to petition for my BR but he says that it wouldnt be for the best. Is he just saying this because he would lose his cut if I went BR?

Hamiltons are a very good practice, and I know the directors very well. They are sure to try and help you where they can.

Adrian Graham will not be motivated at all by "his cut". He is an extremely professional gentleman and IP whose priority will be to present the best solution for you and your creditors.

OK, let's give him the benefit of the doubt about not petitioning for your BR - has he come up with a viable solution though?

Thanks Melanie, Ive never got to speak to him in person as I normally deal with Deborah Lockwood, who to be fair has been very nice.

No solution as yet. I have been giving them details of my situation almost daily as it has been changing rather rapidly. I have just given a new I&E, which is down to the penny and is based on my income as of 01/12/08. Just gotta sit tight and wait now! I have explained that I will get every spare penny over to them in the meantime

Deborah is one of the finest insolvency managers you will ever meet, and is sure to help you so long as your case has been conducted on a satisfactory basis so far, and that you are co-operating in trying to find a solution.

Sorry, I must have posted at the same time as Melanie - I wasn't doubting her judgement in the slightest!

Thanks again Melanie, And you too Skippy.

I have been good up until now, its just things have got very tight and I have let things get on top of me.

Deborah has been supportive, I can imagine my daily nagging at her could be getting a bit much!

Hi Shanks

I have only just caught up with this thread and I really feel for you. Its obvious that you are trying to do your very best but cannot get blood out of a stone. I am sure youre chosen company are very professional and helpful but when youre in such a dark place its hard to play the waiting game, right? Its impossible to know how they are working to help you and for them to realise the stress youre under. I can sense your desperation and the situation with your girlfriend. Just talk to her hun, tell her exactly how out of sorts youre feeling and how flippin scared you are right now. Even the strongest amongst us cant help but feel vunerable when things totally out of control change so suddenly.

Take care and remember there is always a solution to every problem.
