I'm glad your trousers didn't split!

I've done really badly and I know I've put on this week. I've been worrying about my mum today so I've been eating - I've had a Twix, Krispy Kreme doughnut and sausages. No wonder I'm fat!

Thanks Skip[:D]...it's horrible when you get days like that when you're worrying and all you want to do is eat,I think we all have days like that.!!...but let's hope your mum gets on alright on Saturday at the docs,we'll all be thinking of you both!!....getting back to food,I've never tried Krispy Kreme Doughnuts but they sound lush, are they tastier than the usual jammy doughnuts?.[:p].xx

Mum is actually going to the doctors tomorrow. When I spoke to her this morning she told me that one hand is tingling and she is losing feeling in the other one. She said that she was cold and was thinking that when people get hypothermia they don't know about it, but who would find her if she died. It worried me as you can imagine, so I rang the doctors and spoke to a lovely receptionist who arranged for the doctor to call her back. When he spoke to her he booked an emergency appointment tomorrow morning. Hopefully he'll get to the bottom of this as it's been going on for nearly 2 months now.

Krispy Kreme doughnuts are lovely - and so they should be at £1.35 each! A treat but worth it! Now why can't I be one of those people who lose their appetite when they are worried, instead of stuffing myself!

Back on topic, I am getting fatter and just waiting for my room service to come with a burger and chips[:I][:I]
I must get my mind focused otherwise I will be bed bound by the end of the year[:0]

Glad that you've managed to get your Mum in to see the Doctor earlier Skip,at least it will put both your minds at rest a bit sooner and let's hope that the Doctor does get to the bottom of trying to diagnose what exactly is wrong with your Mum and that she gets the proper treatment very soon as like you say,it has been dragging out for too long now!!...I can fully understand why you are so worried about her, more so when it's so cold out and the fact that she's complaining of being cold and losing feeling in one of her hands, and that the other one's tingling!!...if she's anything like what my mum used to be like, she would be afraid to put the heating on and not wrap up enough and I would always be nagging at her to put on several layers to keep herself warm,I'm sure you've been doing just the same...anyway,let us all know how you get on tomorrow, will be thinking of you both...take care..xx

Skip, I hope you didn't have that lot on the same plate![:D]

Krispy Kreme are nice - I think I prefer Dunkin' Donuts though.

No, not on the same plate! I may be a glutton but even I have standards!

Emma, I'm sorry to hear that your mum's poorly as well. I hope the doctors can get her sorted out soon x

I've just got back from the doctors with my mum and she has now been referred to the hospital. She's phoned up and has an appointment on 11th March and although it's 5 weeks away she feels that she has something to focus on.

Sorry she still hasn't got any answers though Skip. I hope her pain doesn't get any worse.

Has the doc given her any different tablets at all?

He was reluctant to give her different tablets as she is already on blood pressure tablets and some others - something to do with her glaucoma? I can understand as the last thing she needs is to be sick because the tablets have reacted! He's given her more of the ones he gave her last time, as even though she doesn't think they worked, he said they may have worked a bit.

Your poor mum Skip! She must be really fed up by now. I hope that the hospital can do something for her when she goes.
