Hi sorry, just want to ensure I am 100% clear. Am I correct in thinking that if I receive a large one off payment from work ie gesture of goodwill, however, this is paid via my payslip and taxed this is not classed as a windfall but would fall into the 50/50 rule?

I would assume this would be treated in the same way as a bonus and would fall under the 50/50 or 10% 50/50 rules, depending upon which one you have.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
