Make sure you keep that message in writing (or email!) so they cannot come back to you at a later date.

Unfortunately Kallis they would not put it in writing when I asked. The woman on the phone said it was 'a leap of faith' on my part. I wasn't told previously not to pay the IVA on the basis that I had requested a variation meeting. That's what I'm worried about Foggy, a breach by non payment. I just hope the meeting gets called real quick.

Why do Payplan insist on making everything over complicated and difficult ?? I despair !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Payplan move the goalposts to suit themselves. I never had a problem with them to be fair but they do seem to be getting worse.

I was never told not to pay whilst waiting for my meeting.

My advice would be to put payments aside just in case they ask for them.

Aah thanks Kazza for your message. No unfortunately not. They didn't respond to my Pay plan message earlier in the week so I rang Wednesday evening. I was told that my paperwork had been held up because of an overpayment! No idea how they reduced my monthly payments without telling me and only last week they told me I shouldn't be paying at all! They apologised cause I should have been told this last week. My paperwork has been on hold for a week and they didn't think to contact me!! So they're sorting the overpayment which is only £15(!) Once accounts have actioned this, they will progress my paperwork.

No problem. I know how hard it with the wait, and sounds like you're really going through the hoops with this! Jeez. Let's hope it really does get all sorted soon and your proposal comes through. Fingers crossed for you. I think the waiting for the proposal was the hardest part. Once we got it and had the meeting date set, I found I chilled out more as at least we had a date to work with and know our fate! Keep us updated. :)

Thanks, will do. I'd just like a date as you said, I can relax a bit then as I know. If they've reduced my payments then my offer will be even more attractive as I'd offered based on my higher payments. Possibly overpaying now but hey how. I can't see how they'd refuse it now but you just never know!!

Yeah, just having the date made me relax far more - except when it got to about the last week before! My poor case officer was hassled daily by me at that point asking if any votes were coming in! (and they were). Well sounds like your offer is now a good one. Felt the same - we paid our monthly payments (2 out of 4 as we were on payment break for the first 2 months of the wait) and although this wasn't deducted from the offer, I kinda just didn't care when it was accepted! my view was that we would have had to pay it anyway if the IVA continued, and the fact they accepted I just felt a HUGE relief like you wouldn't believe! Let's hope your paperwork is correct and in the post asap, then they can set a date :)

I've already decided I'm booking off work the date of my meeting as I'll be a bag of nerves! I've asked my payments since the offer (2 months) to be deducted. I want them deducted but like you I probably won't care as long as they accept it!!

Good for you! I took the day off work too - was fairly calm until about half hour b4 the meeting - then lost it!! Then I think I spent the rest of the day in disbelief and happy tears!! I did try the route of payments being deducted but I didn't battle Payplan as I didn't think we'd be accepted (ok I secretly hoped we would of course!) but was trying my hardest to not pin my hopes on it. And as said - didn't care less re payments as going forward we're now £1300 a month better off!
