It's brilliant that you can save, I'm putting away any spare cash at the end of the week in my Terramundi jar and hopefully, by the time it comes to smash it, I will have amassed a tidy sum!

They're brilliant. They are totally sealed apart from a slot to put your money in. Once it's full then you smash it and count it all up - it can take £400 in coins depending upon the denomination.

It was a Christmas present and I've already put an order in for another one this Christmas!

@Foggy. Well really - our finances are scrutinised by our IPs and our creditors. What on Earth gives them a right to stick their sticky beaks in!

At least they will allow people in IVAs a basic account though. Can't knock 'em for that.

But I would prefer to be refused an account for commercial rather than moral reasons.

I know that some posters have appealed and won.

However, it is down to their policy whether we like it or not.

At least they don't close accounts down.

I know what you mean Broke, TBH I can't see any logic in it ... they will allow money in and out (or even to sit there) in a Cashminder, yet not in a savings account. The only reason I can see is that they don't want to pay us interest on money they think we shouldn't have. Still -- I don't care -- they can provide me a free banking service and YBS can have the savings!
