I have overpaid my IVA by £600, when I rang they said I wouldn't get it back as it had gone to my creditors. My IVA which finished in Nov was not picked up by my IP as being completed hence the overpayment. My IVA was for 60 months but I have paid an extra 3months. I was told it was my fault I'd overpaid as I hadn't cancelled the SO, but in my IVA package it states not to cancel your SO until your IP tells you. I feel the goalposts have been changed to suit Aperture. Is this legal?
You will always owe the full amount to your creditors. You need to keep on at them if you are not happy.

Aperture like moving goalposts ! I would write to the IP direct making a formal complaint. If that gets you nowhere then escalate the complaint to their regulatory body via the Government Gateway here: https://www.gov.uk/complain-about-insol ... actitioner
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
I paid extra in to my IVA with Aperture thinking I would be paying an extra 12 months. I released equity with the help of Select Partnership and have had the extra payments I made refunded. I was very surprised as I thought that they would keep them. I did state that I wanted to pay the extra payments off the secured loan that I had to take out, which I have done.
